- Pre-Installation Check: Verify the "L/R" marking on the strut to confirm it matches the rear left (driver side) installation position.
- Prepare the Tailgate: Open the tailgate to its maximum height and remove the interior trim panel.
- Remove Old Strut: Disconnect the original connector, then use a tool to loosen and detach the old ball joint.
- Install New Strut: Precisely align and insert the new strut’s joint into the designated mounting position, then reconnect the tailgate connector.
